Have just read this in a French magazine.

Cook sage leaves in with your J. artichokes, and

Cook as soon as possible after digging up from the soil to stop the tubers starting to ferment!

Maybe my previous gastric problems have come from buying them in shops where they may have been 'fermenting' for weeks!

Well, you'll be OK as you can nick a few of Ina's! I'll have to grow some to see whether there is a marked difference!

I've grown them before - they were pretty easy to grow.

Good idea though - Ina, watch your artichokes :wink:
