In an emergency ......... thanks Big Al.

Post: # 142288Post theabsinthefairy »

To those of you who have answered this question posed by Big Al in the building threads - BEWARE!!!!

I answered this the other day - and promptly had to put our 'emergency' systems in use as France was hit by gales where we lost power for over 24 hours locally, and then received a couple of inches of snow overnight last night, so had no power again last night!

It was usefull to put it to the test - but I think I will tread more carefully answering these sorts of questions in the future!

Ah, but Monika - at least Al's thread made you think again about what you'd do & how you'd cope etc... and it sounds like good timing to me!

Hope you're all ok now - it's certainly been an interesting year for weather & related disasters......

I've found that it's always a safe bet to blame single-mothers.......for everything!
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.

Actually that's only half of the blame culture.. i was heavily into schools in the 90's, parent classroom helper, governor, fundraising etc and depending on the time of the electoral cycle there were two sets the government would kick. If it was mid cycle it was single mothers who were to blame for all the world ills where as if it was aproaching election time it was the teachers fault for everything so as not to put off the parents as there were more of them than teachers at the polls...

One thing about this depression we are in there seems to be a quasntifiable blame on gevernment and the bankers so that can'r be all bad.
