Reusing bubble wrap?

Post: # 146859Post LizzieTawdry »

Hello

I'm getting desperate for any tips on re-using bubblewrap or bubblewrap envelopes (or bubble wrap to make both terms searchable), apart from the insulating your greenhouse/winter windows ones.

Myself and OH have quite a stash of the stuff, way more than we'll ever need ṭo re-use in a normal post type way....

any ideas anyone?

Have a big clear out of small items like books, ornaments, jewellery etc and flog them on ebay. Use the enelopes to post them out! gets rid of envelopes and makes you some money. Or put them on freecycle?
No matter how much you push the envelope, it'll still be stationery

pipe lagging, filling for a cushion, stress relief(popping the bubbles), bulking out the freezer when contents are getting low, material for a polytunnel, burglar alarm(when spread across floor).
it's either one or the other, or neither of the two.

Take an old lampshade, the sort which is made of wire and covered in fabric. Remove the fabric and tape the bubble wrap over instead. Instant mini polytunnel. Peg it down well or it'll blow away. You can make it a bit tougher by covering the frame in chicken wire first and tying the bubble wrap to the chicken wire in places.
