Texas!!!! :)
But maybe not always?
Hello!
My name is Melissa (go by Mel) and my other half is Austin. We're currently living in Texas but we're planning and saving to move somewhere more efficient for starting a homestead. We're not only newbies to the site, but we're both young and still learning a lot. Our interest in self-sufficiency increases as our interactions with the world also increase. While we've been doing online and book research on self sustaining for quite some time, just to mentally prepare ourselves for all we'll learn and to prepare for the work we will be doing, we have yet had very little personal contact with others of like-mindedness...especially as we're both under 22 and the people that surround us enjoy what comes with being an American, if that makes sense. Anywho, I am looking forward to the interaction...to learning from others here and even providing help in areas I already know a little bit in.
Can't wait to jump in!
Regards,
Mel (& Austin!)

Ahhh yah I can see why you would be so absorbed! The Self-Sufficientish Bible has been a member of our household for quite some time now...
It is a great starting place!

Hola Tejas! I am ISH in California. You can do it anywhere! It just depends on how ISH you want to be and what your other priorities are. Look forward to hearing more from you!
