For the record I have been a long time lurker on these forums but have never quite found the right reason to post anything and seeing as my OH was on here posting enough for the both of us I thought I would hang back a bit and let her
but she's getting a bit confused with some of the long words I use to describe the brewing solutions and advice I have been giving some of you in a third party way 
So where to begin....
I am currently 42, my lungs are knackered because of an allergy to the OH's birds but they are getting better now we have gotten rid of them
, my back is rubbish and I am hoping the slipped disk and trapped nerve I was suffering with this weekend has finally gone away.I have had many many jobs in my time ranging from grease monkey to computer guru and I almost finished a bachelors degree in Cybernetics but I ran out of money at the end of the 2nd year
and had to give up the whole idea, I do intend to go back and do it again but it will require a lottery win first 
My main area of expertise these days lies in the brewing section and I am more than happy to point people in the right direction should any of you need guidance there, I post quite prolifically over at the Brew It Yourself forum so if you can't get a quick response here you can find me over there most days.
I will also be asking lots of questions about gardening when we finally move to a flat with a garden as we both intend to grow as many fruits and veggies as we can fit into an urban terraced garden as humanly possible so I look forward to lots of interesting reading and writing to most of you.
