I too was brought up on "The Good Life" and finally, after six years of living in flats, I have finally moved into a houseshare that has a garden. Of the three flower beds two had flowers in them but another has become a vegetable patch and a hastily assembled raised bed has is doing something similar . So I've got tomatoes, potatoes, beetroot, carrots and shalots though sadly, only four onions seem destined to see the light of day! Ah well, all I've got to do now if persuade my housemates to keep it all watered while I'm working in Italy next month!!!
