I really wanted one of these they are sooo cool but sooo expensive so DD! has very cleverly made one from an old solar light and a kilner jar, just cant wait till it gets dark!

Did you put the solar workings in the top of the jar?

Not entirely sure how it is constructed.....however the solar light was dismantled so that she had just the panel, connecting wire and the light along with the recargable batteries, we took out the switch and by passed that, soldering the wires directly to the panel(I think) and then just popped it all in a kilner jar with some craft paper from her card making and left it in the windowsill to charge....voila,.
