Looks like we're going to be having alot of Chilli !

Post: # 155364Post StripyPixieSocks »

My BIL gave us some Chilli seedlings... we planted them up and decided to plant some of our own.

We liberally sprinkled them on the soil thinking it would be great if one or two came up... ALL of them have come up!!

We also decided we would see if the Butternut Squash seeds would germinate and planted eight... ALL of them have come up

Look at them!

Looks like the tyre planters are going to be quite full :geek:

:D I know I'm very excited about seedlings but that is cool.

I did the same thing with my chillies but I paid for the seeds. Next time I won't bother. You can just pre-chop them and throw them in the freezer anyway.

I got my OH out of bed this morning shouting "Quick, come and look... the Lemon Coriander is sprouting"... small things and all that

It's such a simple thing, seeds germinating but it always excites me greatly... I must spend hours staring at pots of moist soil just... waiting. Then I get all excited when I see the tiniest of sprouts... then get disappointed when it's only a bit of light coloured dirt

7 hours sleep is just not enough to cope with sprouting coriander first thing!

Good luck with your sprouting it all seems to happen at once... I've also found the Basil and the Marjoram is sprouting too and the Butternut Squash have already lifted their first two leaves out and are opening up... seriously from shoot to opened up in one day it's amazing!!
