hello from the urban jungle

Post: # 157347Post lottiemella »

hello,

i'm new to the site and delighted to have found it! :sunny:

i used to live up a mountain in eire and then a long, long time in the tropics. it was easy to grow stuff in both those climates.

have now been in london for 3 years and have finally found an allotment to compensate for not having a garden. my 3 year old assistant and i are loving the process and have been digging, sorting, sowing, planting, and cropping like crazy. i'm rather chuffed actually as we only arrived there in march!

hmmmm. just made a rhubarb, strawberry, gooseberry and red currant crumble all from the little plot.

anyway - hello!

Huge "boomer" thunderstorms today... not as much water as last summer yet, but it keeps coming! :fish: :fish:

Iowa in the "tropical summer" ... what fun! :occasion5:
