Re: Tea Bags
That'll explain it then - I stopped my husband from putting tea bags into the compost several years ago as I was fed up with picking empty tea bags out of my garden as they just didn't rot down
(I don't drink tea). I have a feeling that was possibly PG Tips - nowadays the tea bags are made by T****
- I wonder if they'd rot or not?

When I get back to england might do some experiments with Yorkshire Tea, unless someone else has tried them?
I wonder whether they let you have a compost heap in uni accomodation... (yes I know its called The Room)

As I ping from tree to tree I wonder... why do I seem to have transformed into a pinging tree-dwelling thing?

Re: Tea Bags
I usually get sainsburys red box tea bags (all their own-brand tea is fair-trade) and they rot down fine.
I have never had a tea bag that didn't rot down.
I always buy fair-trade (really widely available these days) and I do try to get organic but I can't always justify the cost. I have never bought any of the regular brands (PG tips, Typoo, Tetley, Yorkshire, etc, etc)

Re: Tea Bags
My bags often don't seem to rot down, so I put them in a tray on the window sill to dry, then split them open and add to compost or just sprinkle on the garden.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.
