I can vouch for trenching regarding wind.
Mine is trenched and it don't come much windier that here, stuck out into the Atlantic.
It is 3 years old now and has survived multiple force 11 winter storms, with the polythene balooning rather alarmingly ... but no damage as yet (or blowing away !)

Looks great!

Here is one I made from polypipe and star pickets over here

It has since become a shade house with water plants (water chestnuts duck spuds etc)

where is the best and cheapest place to buy a polytunnel,i have few books here i am going to order one from,but undecided as yet.was looking in few places on-line for one.i dont have a very large garden so have to be careful with the size,think i am going for a 8" wide and 10" long one,any help would be appreciated or better still can i buy the hoops seperate to build it myself.
