I've added myself, just spend ages making sure I'm exactly the right street :glasses3: - I've also added some other things around Liverpool but thier not in the right areas and I can't acess those accounts to change them

Andy - if you get a second can you delete the Windmill Wholefoos and the Liverpool Farmers market and I'll sort them out properly later.

Thanks in advance.

late night hello

Post: # 16756Post mellie »

:flower: Hi from deepest South London,

I happened upon your site whilst trawling through frugal related links. As that may suggest, I am trying to be.

Have 1 husband, 1 salary, 4 children and there it ends. I also have a huge dislike of supermarkets so I am trying to make all that add up to a nearly self sufficientish lifestyle...in London....with a very small back yard.

We have done a bit of home schooling with a modicom of success but now have 3 in mainstream education, with 1 about to embark on the secondary school route (aaaaargh) . My heart belongs in home ed. but circumstances dictate differently at the mo.

Anyway, look forward to reading and sharing ideas/ ideals

Regards

mellie

Hi Mellie

Welcome to the site.

I'm thinking of the Home Ed route for my youngest - we've been talking about it in the Eco Parenting section. Please come and share your experiences with us there

Hello there mellie, my dad is from south London SW18 and some of my family still live round there. We only have a small back yard covered in concreate in a rented house but we are making the most of it. In fact I have just planted some spuds in tyres, never done it before so will have to keep you posted on the results.

Welcome to the forum.

Hi Mellie, good to meet you!
I share your dislike of supermarkets... But it's probably easier for me, as I live in the country and have neither husband nor children!

I've just mapped myself. I see there's a few of us from Minnesota on the map but I know we have a good sized population of self-sufficientish people in the north woods.
