My name is Julie and I moved to Theddlethorpe (Nr Mablethorpe) from Grimsby just before the Summer Holidays 2009, I am looking for a better quality of life and needed a garden big enough to grow a few things and keep a couple of chickens, you all know, Live the dream etc. etc.
I am 48 years old and have 4 girls, aged 6, 7, 10 and 16. () and as my better half likes to tell me, a glutton for punishment.
The first thing I did on this forum was enter the photo competition, the second was introduce myself, I am now apologising for my bad manners I should have done it the other way round!!
I now have 2 cockerels, 1 duck, 3 bantam hens (not yet laying), 2 goldline laying hens and 1 Rhode Island Red Laying hen, 5 Orpington chicks (sex unknown), have started to make my own wine, am learning to cook (none of that open the tin and pour it out rubbish) and chilling out nicely.
