I must say your photos are amazing...
do you eat the rabbit? Do you use the pelts? or do you give them away?
I remember Stoney (a crofting member who's posts are few and far between these days) said it was too much effort to clean up the pelts but it is a lovley fur, my sister used to have one
Just think how cosy your wellies would be, lined with rabbit fur.

Yes we eat some, plus in my local a few of the boys inc the landlord swap a pint for a rabbit or I sell some to the Poles for 3 quid a piece.I have a skin curing recipe somewhere will try to find it
if anyone is interested in a pot filler I have a litter due soon of whippets

Wouldn't it rather be the rabbits that colonize the odd places? I've never known ferrets to do much colonizing...
