Three things to say:
1. Their loss, not yours.
2. Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING is a learning experience. Turn it round. You clearly know how to behave and respond in an interview (which is a helluva skill). Ask yourself what you have learnt in this (and keep it positive!)
3. Fingers crossed for the next interview!

I have been offered the job!
Its a year contract with potential for extention in bridgewater... As an ecologist.
I can't believe it! Looks like I am moving to bridgwater!
