Hello EVERYONE.Glad i found this wonderful site!!
I am originally from northern Ireland, then Mildenhall (suffolk) and I have been here in Sacramento CALIFORNIA since 1983.
We do not have allotments here so i have to make do with the back garden, It's not a great size but big enough to keep us(me, hubby, sons(2) their wives and 6 grandkids supplied with fresh tomatoes, greenbeans,spaghetti squash, strawberries,bellpeppers
and also hot chile peppers. I have not tried any winter crops yet, still thinking about it.
We bought 2.5 acres of raw land in Klamath Falls Oregon and plan to retire there with some chickens etc. not great land it is high desert but the price was right.
