Hello all & boletus edulis ???

I know its pretty rude to ask advice in only my second post but I would really appreciate one or two thoughts on this mushroom please :D

I'm afraid it isn't boletus edulis. It is a Leccinum, probably a brown birch bolete. They are edible, but I only use them when young and firm.

No idea about the fungus but it isn't rude to ask advice on your 2nd post at all! That's what we are here for.

Thanks for the replies!! Cool, I have several more species growing in my garden that I'd also like to identify. I'll post some piccies later. Sure there are more edibles
