the decortaion is not just to cover up some paint chips, it's also my own homage to the tree of life. the flowers were done using vinyl stickers made for cars, the pentacle was made by a biker bloke on ebay for me, the tree trunk and branches were drawn freehand by me using a pound shop black permenant marker.

the black of the tree trunk is marker pen.

the original black is the colour of the "wood". it's an old fashioned black-ash entertainment unit, but I asked only to have the drawers, not the top part too. the "wood" originally was a veneer of plastic stuff over MDF type stuff, so melamine kinda thing. the paint i covered it with is specially made cupboard/melamine paint i had left over from the kitchen revamp recently. it needed no sanding, priming or anything, but i think i could have done with doing it in a warmer place cos it's sort of peeled a little on the top. but hey, you dont see the top lol.
