Do people realise it is only 44 days till christmas?
Am I the only un-orgainised one on here, I have literally got 3 presents, one stocking filler for each of the kids, I can't even get my brain into gear to think about the food shopping list, at this rate we are going to have pasta, as thats all we've got in the cupboard at the mo!
anyone else this disorgainised? I normally wouldn't mind but new master luvpie is here in 40 days so I've only really got 30 odd to get christmas ready in!!!
Oh russian dol, I've still got those nappy pants sat by the computer, george hid them for a while and I just haven't had a chance to get to the post office with them thanks to one problem or another, will try again this weekend

Re: Arrggghhh
OK plan of action for today is
1 - buy good housekeeping christmas mag
2 - make chart of who is in the house for what meals over the three week period, this covers school breaking up to Georges 2nd birthday, as at least then I can start to get an idea of what food we will need
3 - get George to bed early, make hot chocolate, put feet up and read magazine whilst snoozing in front of tv
wel I'll have made a start won't I, can't do too much at once!

Re: Arrggghhh
Sounds like a plan.
And if you got last years or any previous Xmas GH mags, don't bother buying a new one - it only rejigs the same thing each year, and makes you feel bad about what lasted thing you can't afford, don't want and probably wouldn't use if you had it
And just relax, try to spend as much time as possible with the kids between now and Xmas - on the grounds you may be whisked off to produce no.4 anytime around then

Re: Arrggghhh
ah date is set in stone as it's a planned section (my forth so no choice really with this one, but also means I can have it when it's best for the older boy to deal with!)
When asked what the boys wanted all they said was for me to be home for christmas eve with them and the new boy, but I get the feeling that they maybe bitterly dissapointed if that is all they get
Since putting this topic up though I have now got my food planner for 18th dec to 5th Jan done, which includes shopping list (so mrluvpie knows what to get when I send him, although if I get a chance of a couple of hours in the supermarket with no kids I may still do it!) and covers my hospital stay, the whole of the school holidays and Georges 2nd birthday.
So really all I need is a good motivator (how come we have a smilie on this site for a 3some but not for kick up the ass)
I intend to motivate him to speak to his mum tonight so I know just how many mothers will be in the house over christmas, can you have too many mothers in one place?

Re: Arrggghhh
my mum is great, robs mum is too, but so not hands on, she will pass the baby back with the message of he needs changing, whereas my mum will get on the floor and change him, although needs someone to tell her what nappies need wraps or not, but then again so does rob!!!
I do like the dressing gown idea though, might have to treat myself to a new one, my other opion was just taking myself to bed with baby, a good book and a glass of sherry

You poor old thing. As Susie said chill and breath! Well done on writting your meal planner, I think I am going to take a leaf out of your book.
All I can suggest is write a list of presents, food etc and try to order what you can online. I have pretty much sorted all of my presents, but I intend to do the food shop online. Mr SFG has a couple of days off over Christmas, but there is no way that I am braving the shops with a four and two year old and a five ish week old on my own. Last year we made food hampers for nearly everyone, but this year I have decided to make life as simple as poss. The only things that will be in hampers will be pre-made stuff, jams and chutneys.
You are lucky though to have Mums that are willing to help. My Mum and MIL just sit there holding the baby, and expect to be waited on. It drives me totally mental. Not to mention the fact that my MIL and FIL think that breast feeding is disgusting, and expect me to leave the room
Good idea about the GH Xmas mag, I am going to buy a copy for my hospital bag. Its going to give me something to do, when my little man thinks about putting in an appearence.
Look after yourself hun, and don't stress

Re: Arrggghhh
Well having looked and looked, George was being stroppy, I've actually started my christmas shopping, going to scare rob by telling him that the decorations are going up early this year, otherwise I'm going to be left to do it all by myself (with help from George
), where as if we do it on 21st we can do it all together. I think I'd rather be in your shoes of having a little one, than not being able to see my feet as I go round the shops.
Anyway SG have you not got curry to eat or something tonight, come on girl got to get things moving!

Get onto the Argos website and do all the toys in one fell swoop of an order. If Argos doesn't have it - tough, they'll have to enjoy what they get.
Pasta is perfectly good for a Christmas meal - start a new family tradition. Get onto any supermarket website, order all the staples and chocolates now and tell the family that they'll eat baked beans and pasta unless they get their fingers out and do some shopping themselves.

How about doing your shopping online? Most supermarket baskets are savable and you can do it when you have 5 spare minutes at a time maybe?

Sorry Susie Hun xx
Lots of twinges that do not amount to anything. Off to see the consultant in the morning. You will be glad to hear that he will be out one way or another by next Thursday, then you can relax

Would that be the lie down that SFG won't get after Thursday?

How are the twinges? So take it the consultant gave you till thurs before induction or section? I haven't had chance to see your thread? I guess though if you've got till then poor old sunflowerboy is going to be pretty knackered!
I'm off shopping for christmas this weekend, and have even made the space for the tree to go in, although I expect to have filled it with junk by the end of next week

Good luck with the shopping this weekend!! I hope you manage to get sorted out, before you get too uncomfortable and big.
(Section booked for Wednesday, got to go in Tuesday afternoon. Really hoping that something will happen between now and then. Don't really want a section, and really really do not want to be in hosiptal and away from the girls for so long. Pretty
about it all really)
