Lavender drawer sachets question

Post: # 177237Post mrsmiggins »

I'm making some lavender drawer sachets, but have run out out of dried lavender. What else can I use? I have lavender essential oil left, but not sure what I can use to put it on! I thought maybe rice, but not sure how long the scent would last on it. Does anyone have any ideas? I'll try and get a photo up when I've finished them! :flower:

If you are making them as Christmas presents then why not substitute Christmassy-smelling spices. Dried orange peel, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, star anise etc. etc.

Or herbal ones, just raid your kitchen cupboard for any sweet smelling herbs - the sachets don't have to be large.

dried barley or buckwheat work well, and can also be used for heat packs too.
