Singer sewing machine :-D

Post: # 176759Post thomasgreen »

So I finally got the Singer sewing machine that my mother-in-law lent us in working order :-)

I am very proud as I made my dear wife a new handbag from an old shirt and an old tshirt that both got too small for me. Also made my sister a bag and make-up bag for her birthday, she loved it, my nan and my mum were both super jealous and insisted that I should go into production?! They settled for me making them little bags to match going out outfits :-)

Does anybody know of a good website or any other resources that I may benefit from? I am really looking to working up to making my own clothes, clothes for my wife and clothes for our babies when we have them?!

Well done Tom, there is a needlework forum on Ravelry that might be of interest

well done, not sure about online help, but getting hold of a paper pattern and following the instructions could be helpful.
What do you want to make next? I'll check out my stash of patterns if you like

(sez me who is supposed to be making pillowcases but am online instead  )

www.craftster.com has some fabbo tutorials!!

i also have some baby clothing patterns, they're both girl ones and are very cute.... traced rather than being cut so they're usable again if you want them.
