Hello and campsites in Italy?

Hi, we are new here... looks like a great place filled with lots of fab information.

We are wondering if anyone here is currently living a more self-sufficient life in Italy? We are considering spending some time there (Liguria, Tuscany - possibly Umbria) and have grand plans to one day run a small eco-campsite (yurts, tents, solar energy etc) possibly from there.

Interested in meeting anyone doing this kind of thing in Italy now? Anyone dreaming of doing it? and any blogs that might be of interest for us to read...

We live a lot further south in Puglia where we mostly live off the land. You can read about our experiences on my new blog http://contadina.wordpress.com , although and older one might be of interest as it recounts our arrival and settling in http://contadina.growveg.info I can also recommend some agricultural Italian sites if you are interested.
