Eco building in the tropics using thermal mass

In tropical regions, will a large thermal mass reduce the humidity of a building as well as the temperature?

Not sure that large thermal mass will even reduce the temperature in the tropics very well, because there is a smaller temperature difference between day and night. Probably better to look at maximising air-flow.
