Runner beans
I have a pathetic amount of runner beans growing this year. Is it too late to plant some more do you think?

Re: Runner beans
I've planted french and berlotti beans after lifting early potatoes in previous years (this was pre allotment when space was seriously sparce), that must have been about this time of year and that worked out fine.
Re: Runner beans
I shall sow some runner beans in the end of the polytunnel somewhere about the middle of July, they will start producing in September and carry on until November. I would have though my tunnel climate is similar to yours or possibly cooler.
I've done this several years now as normally we get gales in mid September that destroys the outdoor ones.
