Hi Millie my dad lives in Little Durnford in Salisbury so sort of in your neck of the woods!
Good luck with your allotment,we took the plunge few weeks back lol & dug up the bottom of the garden! its all been a bit rushed & things werent prepared as well as would have liked but theres stuff growing now!
Once the grass was up & it dug over,we dug in the stuff from one of our composters,& I sprinkled some bonemeal & dug that in,was hoping to get some horse poo lol but it didnt arrive it time
So far there are potatos growing,in the earth & also in tubs, the ones in tubs are doing much better so next year will just do more tubs & not in the earth!radish are up,spring onions & I planted out the lettuce & calabrese a few days ago.
Dad has started off some runner beans & toms & courgettes so they will come here soon!
Have a super weekend!
Bright Blessings

Hello from Wiltshire
But since I'm in Canada and most people here are not I don't often get to say I have a connection with a new member's place, so I'll use whatever excuse I can.
Welcome.

oh great, a useful forum and full of Wiltshirers :) - we're moving down in a couple of months and are taking the opportunity to make a few of the changes we've been saying we should but somehow not getting around to.
Wiltshire doesn't look too bad on the whole for the whole recycling and local produce issue, but I'm going to have sooooo many questions once we know exactly where we'll be, and I already have a load about everything from wormeries to bee keeping so I'm looking forward to hanging out here a bit
