Going for a no Spend Christmas

Oooh I like the idea of noticeboards. I had never even given that any consideration. but I must get these quilts finished first. I'm just 18 stars away from having all the material cut up. then it will be a case of sewing like a crazy woman to piece it all together.

It's looking good so far and I think I can actually get it finished by the end of next week, fingers and everything else crossed mind you. I'm just praying I don't muff up the actual quilting part. I haven't done it before

I have trouble with the men folk, I can never think of what to make them other than something involving their stomachs

Any ideas for pressies for men welcome

Sarah, Really enjoy your blog! I am on my third t-shirt rug, and now have started a simple patchwork and also some french knitting. This forum has a lot to answer for! pbf.

How have you been doing your Tshirt rugs? I'm knitting mine and it's taking AGES, but then I'm not really a knitter.

Joking aside, one of my best ever presents was a jar of pears in Brandy.(Loads better than socks and a lot less work).

Sarah, the rugs are crocheted, just knotting the strips together and making them into an oblong. My next one I want to make circular if can. I have an open fire and I reckon in the winter they will be perfect for catching the sparks! I am constantly scrounging tshirts. The last one I made was from tshirts from my daughter's friend, all Hugo Boss!! Can't manage photos yet, so you all have to just believe me!!! pbf.

The quilts are beautiful and all of the ideas on here are fantastic. Ill certainly be trying a few out. I hate spending a lot of money on Christmas so I've already begun knitting blankies, bean bags are next then I'm goin to hav atry at some jam making!
