I want to tap sycamores next spring and am looking for spiles.
I can order these from the US, but does anyone know where I can get some nearer London...?

Re: Sap tapping
haven't tried it myself - one of those things i have ambitions to try, birch sap wine, but i'd think if you don't have elder, buddleia ought to make as good a tap as the elder shown on the other site; it's easy to work and has a lot of pith and is almost a weed in its prevalance. i shouldn't mid betting that a plastic hose nozzle might work too.
