Hello and good afternoon on this lovely sunny Sunday afternoon. Well as you can see from the title I'm from the good old fens in Cambridgeshire and blessed to live in a beautiful and traditional farming village
I'm in the process of evaluating my life at the moment and turning towards simplicty and frugal living. I'm also considering leaving a well paid job and doing a not so well paid job so I can spend more time at home doing the housewife and mummy bit- much to my hubbies happiness.
A little about my current lifestyle- due to working 14hr days, as a family we unfortunatley eat a lot of package foods and takeaways
, however after reading Nourishing Traditions and also my own feelings I really, really want to move to buying local and cooking from scratch- we are very, very lucky that we have 3 farms in the village that sell various meat products etc, we also have several farms shops within a 5 mile radius too.

We are also extremely priviliged to have a fair amount of land to start growing veg and fruit and maybe keep some chooks- its certainly something I'm considering if I leave my job and have more time on my hands- can't waste the opportunity of good fertile fen soil!! though I am a complete newbie to ALL aspects of gardening etc so may have many questions- sorry!
Oh my I have rambled on, sorry. I look forward becoming a part of this online community and hope that all though I will get so much from it I may also be able to contribute
