Hello from Dublin Ireland

Post: # 222943Post anninireland »

Hello all,
I'm an American expat living in Dublin. Hubby and I just moved to the city centre and are having an urban living adventure. Though I lived near to a few large cities before, I have never lived _in_ a city until now. Exciting, and quite different!
Though I am greener than many people I know, I am no green paragon. I'm taking things a bit at a time. Buying second-hand, and borrowing are things I am getting more consistent with. In the past year, I have taken to much more cooking from fresh and 'real' ingredients rather than relying on mixes and prepared foods. I'd been afraid of cooking because my mother was so desperate in the kitchen, and I assumed it was hard to get right. I have been pleasantly suprised at how easy it is to make delicious (and healthier) foods starting with a few basics and focusing on fresh.
I look forward to learning in this community.
Cheers,
anninireland

Hi there and welcome
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
