Cheap fruit bushes

Post: # 223161Post oldjerry »

I hope this is still relevant,as I missed them last year while in hospital, but it's coming up to the time(one week only) when Lidls do their fruit bushes. Now I dont do SMs as a rule, but these are so cheap, and such good quality that they are worth going for. You'll have to check their website for when they are coming(usually the following week)." years ago they were less than £2 and I potted them on,kept them till June and sold 40 odd at the local car boot for £4. NB dont bother with the blue Berries they're crap.

Thanks Oldjerry. Look in the pound shops as well, I got some really nice blackcurrants and gooseberry plants a couple of weeks back for a £1 each.

Graham, watch out for those pound shop gooseberry bushes - we bought a couple last year and one of them turned out to be a rather pretty, but decidedly gooseberry-less shrub! Not exactly sure *what* it is, but it's certainly not a gooseberry!
When I was young people called me a hippy. Now I'm a bit older I'm just called environmentally aware..... that's progress!
