we have a large garden and are looking to put a polytunnel in so we can grow our own veggies!

Ant hints or tips for a newbie veggie grower would be greatly appreciated

I have been eyeing up Polly tunnels for 2 years now.

I think you want to have one where you can have at least 4 raised type beds, your suggested size works for this.

Think about ventilation, doors at both end can help with this, and if you can afford those sides that come up, this might be good as well.

Having said that, you can get some right old knackered bits of kit and with the right attention they can be really productive.

No I won't use a smiley because I've decided to turn into Boboff, as he's turned all nice all of a sudden. Grumble grumble.

Have a look at First Tunnels - their website is really helpful. And their prices seem to compare favourably with others too ( and no I'm not on commission - I wish). We've just received a replacement skin from them - cost about £70 for the high grade, thicker poly - some of the other sites were charging that for the same size thinner stuff.

And you're right OJ - we do need it up here, although I'd prefer a similar size cedar greenhouse (a metal one couldn't hack the wind!)
