i have recently been granted a 30m x 10m allotment plot.
now there is no fence around it and a huge oaktree at one end.
the main area that we will be able to grow on is covered by weeds and brambles.
can anyone suggest the easiest way of clearing these weeds and low level brambles, i am umming and erring about using round up herbicied or something similar.
also a cheap way of fencing the rabbits out would be good if any one has suggestions
many thanks
phil

Re: new to the site and allotments
hi welcome
i have a suspicion the best way might be to dig it out - hack down the tops and start digging the roots out.. and burn them. long and arduous but worth it in the long run
