We moved up here four years ago and put the house on the market just as it took a dive. Kept it on for a year then our daughter decided to move back in so she lived there for about 18 months. Anyway Christmas 2009 she decided to move up here too and duly arrived in March 2010, at which point the house went up for sale again. We had to drop the price quite a bit but, due to a small bidding war at the end, we recouped a little of that.
So
- we managed to cover all our costs
- have enough to pay to do up the gal's new pad and business
- and we won't have to pay the mortgage, utilities, maintenance and repairs on an empty building any more
I'm feeling a little light-headed today (nothing to do with the bottle of cr4p Spar Champagne we indulged in last night!)
