Ohh, froggi, where did you get the recipe? I'd love to try that!
Dunno.... I guess I just guessed and tried experimentation (evil laugh)..... So sorry bout the delay in response....
2 x 2ltr bottles of D&B (don't do what I did and get no added sugar - stooopid

) - let them go flat as poss - I used a clean demijohn & shook - leave - shook ad infinitum...(the demijohn that is not me!!!)
General purpose brewing yeast - or a high tolerance yeast (due to preservatives in the shop bought stuff)
Sugar - I reckon I used about a pound or so to bring up the OG until I got something that would reap a 5% ish ABV but it obviously depends on what you want
Yeast nutrient - helps the fermentation process along I feel
Chuck it all in a DJ (after it's gone flat that is), add the other stuff, tap it with a bung and airlock and hope it starts.....
Cos there are a certain amount of preservatives in shop bought pops, this can inhibit the process a deal so if you find the potential brew is dead either give up, try and coax it back to life or try again, this time with a certain amount of boiling as I've read this helps break them there preservative thingys down.
If all goes well, sit back with crossed fingers, take up knitting or another pastime that will wile away the time until the evil brew has done it's stuff and then bottle as per cider/wine etc .....if you want it flat then bottle straight from the FV, if fizzy then add a tsp of sugar to the bottle before capping - Oh and use PET bottles as this lessens the risks of explosion and showering the place with glass.
Not trying to teach you how to suck eggs with some of the info but I don't know your level of brewing experience
