Hello again :)

Post: # 251111Post littlepuffin »

Well I have rejoined....I was on here years back and once had an artical on here about homemade nappies...ooooh about 7 yrs ago :)

Anyway, I have some growing space....a little and not sure what to do with it. I was thinking maybe raised beds but money is very tight and I cant really see a cheap way of doing it. I live in a large town...am quite OK with that too but I do want to produce some of my own food.

off for a browse now...byeeeeeeeeeeee

Pleased to meet you :flower:

Re-Raised beds: try asking a local scaffolder for the planks that are past their use-by dates. They are often coated in plaster or cement, but that'll just stop them rotting too quickly & raise the ph a bit around the edges. Or go on your local 'Feegle/Realcycle' and ask for old decking boards or similar.

Hi there and welcome back
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Hello !
Just because you see two eyes shining in the jungle at night, do not think that the worse thing that could happen is that you are about to be attacked by a tiger. It could be two one-eyed tigers.

Hello

Have you looked at your local council's website, maybe they do compost give aways....

or freecycle, could ask for wood?
