Rolled oats mixed with pressure canned apple juice were dehydrated and vacuum stored in 500 ml jars. Apple juice and oats were blended, placed on Teflon cookie sheets, cooked in the oven for 30 minutes at 275F, then placed on open dehydrator mesh and dehydrated for about four hours. The relatively dry sheets were cut into pieces and further dehydrated until dry, then stored in 500 ml vacuum sealed jars. The pieces make a fine treat and probably an improvement over junk cereal for small kids for breakfast.
