cigarette ash in compost?

Post: # 258765Post the.fee.fairy »

Can I put cigarette ash into a compost bin?

I know I can't put the filter ends in, but what about the ash?

Can't see any reason why not. It's not much different to wood ash and unless you smoke several hundred a day the quantities will be miniscule.

I was...in my last place, but it's 'disappeared'. I left some stuff there to pick up and it all got stolen :(

So until I get another one, I'm on the smoky ones again.

Okay :-)

You can get e-juice that has the MAOI alkaloids in now... so you in theory should get the same pleasure from it as from a cigarette whereas before i imagine you were just using straight nicotine.

I had e-juice in different flavours (also 'disappeared'...). I think it was the low nicotine one. I tend to smoke lighter cigarettes anyway, the heavy one make me cough.

I quite miss my e-cig now you're brought it up!! I did like it, and it made my apartment smell like a hookah lounge

Well whatever strength the nicotine it is best (imo) with the MAOIs present in tobacco which you can now get in an e-juice... even flavoured now too i should imagine.
