Window of opportunity
What with the late frosts, continuous rain and work commitments, I have finally got out and planted some stuff. So today after weeding the beds, I have managed to get the beans and carrots in. Hopefully tomorrow I will plant other things, but am somewhat knackered and am in need of a soak in the bath.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?

Phew, you've made me feel so much better. For much the same reasons, I've not quite got everything in yet and what has been sown is in a bit of a muddle as the beds I'd planned weren't all ready. It's been a rotten sewing season this year. On the other hand it's been brilliant for planting established plants and cuttings as it's been so wet.
The strange thing is that my topsoil is still drying out really quickly. This heavy clay should be like wet cement after all this rain but it isn't - you could almost be fooled into thinking it's quite good soil.
Anyway, well done and go and have a nice long soak, you deserve it.

Most of the seed packets said sow between March/April so I hope that I haven't left it too late. Managed to get a few more things planted today. Hopefully I will still get a reasonable yield.

Re: Window of opportunity
We've had a lovely weekend and have managed to start the windbreak by building a fence. Hopefully I'll be able to plant the willow by it this week.
Everything is surviving in the polytunnel but a bit slow by previous years experience. But it's all loking healthy and hopefully we'll get some crops this year.
