Rain

There was a thunderstorm last evening, and my rain gauge indicates the amount of rain was almost perfect to meet my requirements. There has been very little rain since about the first of April, and we were almost into drought conditions. Mulching saved my garden. Without mulch I would be reduced to almost no quality produce.

I know who's had all your rain over the last few weeks! It's been torrential here. At least they've lifted our hosepipe ban now. As one water company boss said: "it's been the wettest drought in history".
