Reasons to be cheerful Pt. 1

Post: # 267965Post oldjerry »

Won't except : ''My Kids are my Life'' (too much responsibilty)

''Our Gaff is Beautiful'' (outrageous fortune)

All I can come up with is a line from an old Liverpool Scene song..''You make me feel like a garbage truck with a very heavy load on,baby''.....which doesn't seem all that substantial.

Over to you.

To cheer myself up I always think of the stack of crocheting, knitting and quilting projects on my great-grannies old bureau next to the comfy armchair covered in lovely warm throws and cushions, and get back to it as soon as possible with a nice cup of tea.

The French social security system has decided that I don't need to pay any more money to them before the new year.

We've started lighting up the new wood burning cooker which works wonderfully and i cooked pizza in the oven which turned out really well :) Although the livingroom/kitchen is getting too hot now, have to open the doors. The oven on the wood burner is acutally bigger than my electric oven we use for the summer. Maybe i can roast the christmas turkey in it. Although to avoid samonella joining us for dinner maybe its better to roast it in the conventional oven which maintains a constant temperature.......

My wife gets home this evening from two weeks visiting her parents. Though she missed a connection in Toronto due to a delayed flight, she was able to get another flight and get the heck out of there before the hurricane. Yay!

Had a good evening at work and now I'm home with my best beloved :hugish:
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
