Jack Monroe has been taking part in the Live Below the Line Challenge. For the past several years, she has needed to cook very frugally and has posted some frugal recipes to her blog. Generally the meals are under 50p per serving. Her 9p spiced bean burgers are a favorite.

Thanks for the link Amaranth. I have bookmarked the recipe pages. I may well have a go at making the veggie burger today, it really did look simple and I have all the ingredients in stock.
