Bottle store/chess table
Bottle store/chess table
Started to make a bottle cupboard/chess table out of big cardboard tubes that my brother got from work, it'll hold 112 bottles when finished with a hand made chess table inlaid. Will post up pics as I go.

That's a great idea for cardboard tubes! What kind of tubes are they? We get a lot of those long ones at work (my current part time job) that carpets come on. They'd be very sturdy, but a b*gger to saw up...

My brother works in an air filter making factory, they're the tubes that the media (paper basically) that make the air filters come on. They're very similar to carpet tubes, but thankfully I have access to a band saw.

Taken forever to get pics up I know, but here they are.
All 56 (plus 1) tubes cut to size and sanded, ready to be put together

Getting the measure for the framework. All tubes are in place.

Bit of a slow starter at the moment, but should start to pick up speed soon. More pics to come.
