I've just lost my Mum!
Yesterday I recieved the call everyone dreads. My Mum passed away yesterday.I've just spent 6 mths in Adelaide (Australia)staying with my Mum and other family members.I took a career break, and only returned to the UK last week!!! Words cannot describe how I feel atm.Mum was 83 and not in the best of health but she seemed to be ok when I left.A family member went round to see her in the afternoon yesterday, and noticed all the blinds/curtains closed. They did not get any response by knocking on the door, and tried ringing Mum via their mobile to no avail. They ended up breaking a window to gain entry and found Mum slumped by the side of her bed. They think she must of died that morning because she had the fire on (Its winter over there atm)and she had made some toast.I am assuming she must of felt unwell and was perhaps heading back to her bed but did'nt make it.I only got back from Oz last week and now am flying back there tomorrow!Feel so sad right now.

So sorry to hear your sad news. Never an easy thing to deal with. Take solace that you managed to get to spend time recently with her and remember the good times.
Has anyone seen the plot, I seem to have lost mine?

I'm so sorry to hear that, and I'm sure I speak for every member of Ish, past and present, in sending our condolences, sympathy and best wishes to you and the rest of your family.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Although she'd been ill for some time, it sounds like the end was swift, when it came. I hope I'll feel like making myself toast on my last morning.

I am so sorry about your loss - but I am glad you took the time to spend 6 months with her and family.
