frost-free fridge freezer forming frost!

Post: # 283396Post daffodiltulip »

I've got a Bush(I think it's BSFF50144) fridge freezer, which is meant to be frost-free. A good bit of snowy frost has formed at the top of the freezer (the fridge part is uppermost) over the freezer tray. If anyone has got one of these, can you tell me what the problem is and how to defrost it safely?

Try cleaning the seals and the area of the door that the seals seal against

inspect for damage as you do it

How old is it?

A couple of years. I decided to unplug it and defrost it with hot water and dislodging loose ice. I hope it hasn't done any damage!

It could be you door seal is not sealing correctly. Even though they say a two year guarantee period, you are covered under EU law with the 6 year sale of goods act, for repair or replacement. If the retailer refuses to help you, go to the trading standards. You can google the 6 year sale of goods act
