Hello everyone, I'm Barbara!
I'm from the UK and lately I've been trying to get better for the environment and be more self sufficient-ish. I've got a little garden going although I had some trouble germinating seeds, may have to go buy some young plants instead! I'm sure I'll get better at it.
I've also been trying to step away from shop bought cosmetics and things, trying to make my own! They're more natural and last me longer, if I stock up on enough ingredients I'm sure I could stop buying altogether!
Happy to be here, would like to learn more from everyone and see how far I can go!

Hi Barbara and welcome to Ish.
Have a look round - there's the blog site with a load of interesting articles, the search function (top right here) for specific topics or ask away. We may well be able to help.
Germinating seeds can sometimes be quite dificult - different plants have different requirements to germinate, but you'll get the hang of it. In the meantime plug plants aren't too expensive so go for it.
The joys of picking and eating something you've grown yourself can't be beaten.
