Post: # 32169Post Shirley »

Have noticed that ish is slow for the last few days... is this just my pc or something to do with the site itself??

other forums have been quicker though.

Just thought I'd mention it.

Shirley, and you do know me (bum not big at the BBQ!) I have been on other site and they are all reporting the same thing. So maybe someone has fed the gremlins after midnight again!

I have been dealing with a spam issue recieving 10 000 emails in one go as the selfsufficientish.com address has been cloned. On top of that as we are on a shared host and one of the other sites on this server is in constant violation of their bandwidth we are having trobles there too. Both these issues have adversly effected the speed of the site. Both are being rectified and hopefully should be sorted out soon.

Those of you that rememeber the server move earlier this year might recall that we had a few days of migration but that it went ok other than that. Well due to the ongoing issues with being on a shared server (our website is on a computer with loads of other sites) we are hoping to move onto a dedicated (only us on it )server in the not so distant future. This will give us more control and mean that we are the only people using it. The downside is that it is 6 times the price. But we are working on ways to fund this so fingers crossed this will be by the new year.
