Can you help find the giant yellow W's?

Post: # 33732Post Dave »

This has nothing to do with self-sufficientish things whatsoever but ...I was back home in Northampton and a friend of friend is on the look out for giant yellow w's.

The quote below from their website might explain what I mean a little more - if you hear of anything or even have one of the giant yellow w's then you can contact them on their myspace site -

Hello to you all reading this, thank you for taking the time to here our plight.

Last week my friend James was given two Giant yellow 'W's to use as props on stage for his band the WoW scenario, these turned out to be giant (and i mean huge - you can't get one in a car!) thick rigid polystyrene yellow glossed monstrosities which are now living in Jame's shoebox of a bedroom.

Two days ago (whilst James and i were at the Music for Squares' launch night, we discovered from a reliable source that there were more giant yellow 'W's in existence, that infact there had been 9 originally made as part of some youth awareness programme, after it had ended the 'W's were split up and given to people who had uses for them.

So this leads us to our mission - to reunite all the Giant Yellow 'W's !!!!!!

We want to bring all the 'W's together and see them in their original glory and we are making a documentry about all that this mission entails.

We don't know where the others are, whether some have left the county (Northamptonshire) or even the country, but we will stop at nothing to finding them and if that means some airmiles then so be it!

We are looking for anyone who knows of any of the 'W's where-abouts, and currently we are following some leads up, so if anyone reading this can help then get in touch.

Ok to most of you this may seem crazy - but you'd be surprised what you will do if bored and unemployed!

That IS strange. Reminds me of a family I used to know who "collected" street names and stuck them on the wall all round their house. Er... and then I went caving in Gloucestershire and crawled a mile underground, through a sump (underwater tunnel), and a crawl so narrow I had to have my hands down by my sides and my head twisted round to get through... only to find someone had dismantled and re-assembled a road sign down there - an eight foot "avoid the traffic - this way to Wookie Hole".

Big Yellow W's, huh?

Ok, no worries. I'll keep an eye out.

That's brilliant, I can't believe that someone went to so much trouble just for a prank.
