Paint a picture (or take a photo) and frame it yourself - it's a skill to get perfectly right, but you could overlay a plain and flat frame with something else...

I got an Aloe Vera plant off Freecycle in the spring & it produced loads of plantlets. I've potted these on & will put them in pretty pots for presents for the women in my family & the few friends with whom I exchange gifts. One of the friends has just moved house & is getting excited about cooking again, so I'm growing herbs for her too, I'll group the pots into a basket I have.

Sloe Gin - ok so you have to buy the gin but cheap stuff does really well and you end up with lots of yummy stuff to put in pretty bottles and give to the family at a fraction of the cost of bought. Also it gets the kids out in the fresh air to pick them - although my son did play at bears pooping in the woods - yuck!!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
