down at the allotment and in the garden what are you up to

about 120 runner bean plants yield 5lb per 2 days lol. well ina where our allotments are all have done well mine harvested from mid july onwards others a couple weeks later, theres were slow but went supersonic a month ago lol.have they not been good down south ?.how about where you are.regards dave

well me kind friend gave me a lift down to lottie,think a few beans went but i still had half a carrier, let some on to go to seed had loads so dont mind , pulled up marrow plants etc and weeded make room for broad beans.got about 15 marrows lol.leg still hurts pulled it but it feels alot better.but still limping, started weeding me 5 rows of leeks, done loads incase a few walk,i think the rest has done me good i live at such a crazy pace nature has slowed me down.gave me friend 2marrows,runner beans,some beetroot.seemed a good deal for lifts.

hobbled round the allotment weeded leeks took off odd leaf with rust,cleared area ready for onions and garlic and shallots.been lovely and sunny here.pulled a few turnips, and picked some runner beans slowing down now.let some going to seed.

well the old leg is alot better walked the mile there and back with the mrs,hoed some weeds, did some digging,harvested butternut squash,leeks,beetroot,and some lovely big parsnips did two and half rows but will do more next year my favourite veg by a mile.

well did some digging,harvested a pumpkin moved some carpets on to the area dug,set some daffodils. in a line not clumps just to be a border line and a pretty one marked out with wood strips each side of the border.when flowers die off.

Well got down the allotment about 8amish,trimmed some leeks as a bit of rust,picked some leeks some butternut squash,beetroot,and a tundra cabbage dug a bit getting ready for onions ,garlic ,shallots,

Well - dug me comfrey bed ready for the new plants - cleared two beds ready for the Autumn broad beans - picked a load of bramleys - dug carrots - pulled leeks - still felt compared with gunner

well went down to the allotment and did some more digging .so i have the area ready for the over wintering onions, shallots and garlic.just need to rake iit level it etc.then it be the broad beans dig that area too.the size areas are 25 ft by 15 ft so lots of digging.

Actually got the comfrey plants in - they`ve been waiting a while and their roots were filling the containers!
Broad beans coming up nicely in their root trainers. Usually put them straight in the ground but thought I`d have a go at starting them off first.
Bramleys have cropped really well this year - there`ll be enough for us and all the neighbours I reckon. Leeks looking good but cabbages suffering from the attentions of little squidgy snails - they`re right inside the hearts!

well didnt go to lottie as its been raining here just clearing up here now.
so sowed some sweet peas to over winter in me little greenhouse.thats been about it .lol

I have done very little apart from move my lemon tree into the greenhouse. This then got covered in mould and I spent yesterday washing it off the leaves, until I got prickled by one of the spikes on the tree. Obviously, the lemon tree had had enough and so had I!

I have a wedding present of an apple tree in there too, until Mr Shiney can decide where in our little garden, we are going to plant it.

New strawberry runners arrived so up to the allotment to get them in.
Started to pelt down so stashed them in the greenhouse until tomorrow.
