No chance. I've just spent several hours digging and carting damp soil as I build berms to slow the run-off from our hill. In the process, I managed to hit the side of my steel-toed wellie with the shovel and, yes, the toe cap doesn't protect the little toe at all...

Yowwwwww! And various imprecations.

Cue the boys: "Pa, you really shouldn't swear. It's rude."

And does small boy remember his words when you found the exploded pumpkins?

Sypathy on the toe. A friend of mine did something similar at my house. I actually heard the crunch. Not nice.

Shove some cotton wool or something round it when you go outside - before putting on the socks or something - that was it will be a wee bit more cushioning for the next time you bash it one.

Ouch, know how much that hurts! Kicked my steel Kirby vacuum cleaner once, when I dared to look at my toes, the one next to little toe was at a right angle over the little one! My hubby and mates nearly wet themselves laughing when they saw it - so much for sympathy!! Hope it doesnt give u too much trouble!

Ouch - know the feeling - you have my sympathy. I once had a little dog who became over excited every time the door bell rang - hed run down the hall way and wet himself. One day, as I ran after him, bare foot, down the laminated hall with a paper towel in my hand I slipped in his wee and hit my foot off the door frame!! I went off to casualty and once the Doc had stopped laughing at me he told me there was nowt he could do, to take a couple of pain killers and stop wearing flip flops!! Lol
Although - since I was single at the time it was a good source of symapthy from nice looking young men who offered to kiss it better - I didn't tell them how I'd done it till afterwards!! lol
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!
